Brown Bird poured a deep brown color with a fingr width, off white head. The aroma was malty with underlying
hops and coffee notes. The body was smooth with a velvety mouthfeel. There is some chocolate
up front, a light sweetness throughout, and coffee notes on the end. The finish is a little underwhelming, leaving
just a light dryness on the palate. The beer left lots of hanging lace on the glass. Overall, this is a really
great sessional beer. It is easy drinking and very good up front but nothing really jumps out and wows me like
some of the other beers from Captain Lawrence. This is worth a try nonetheless.
