back burner poured a cloudy,
caramel color with a finger width, off white head. The aroma is huge, with big malt, little hops and some faint alcohol.
The body is very, very smooth up front and has a nice malt base with some ripe, dark fruit and a nice acidity to it.
The finish lingers for a bit, with a little dryness to it. Overall, this is a great beer and arguably the best barleywine in New
York. It is very big up front, yet nicely balanced and already rounded out.
